Installing a dropped kerb can make a huge improvement to accessing your home as well as making sure your entrance is marked out to stop people parking in front of it!

A dropped kerb is where the kerbing is dropped allowing a vehicle to cross over the council pavement to access the driveway or property by car. Planning permission is required for this work as you do not own the pavement or kerbs which will need to be altered to carry out the work properly.

Make sure to get a licensed contractor for this work as it will be inspected and only licensed Highway workers can carry out the work.

You can either apply to your local council for permission for a dropped kerb outside your property or we can apply to your local authority on your behalf.

During our free visit, we can inspect the pavement to see how many kerbs require dropping and if any further ancillary work is required in the process.

After this, you can either submit the planning yourself and we can pass on our public liability and our Highway Authority certificate to carry out the work or we can fill it all out for you.
